Introduction : Yamuna Nagar

Yamuna Nagar is one of the 20 districts of Haryana, bounded by the state of Himachal Pradesh in the north, Uttar pradesh in the east and south east, by the districts of Karnal and Kurukshetra in the south west and by Ambala district in the west.

Yamunanagar was earlier known as 'Abdulahpur'. Before independence, it was a small village with population concentrated around the railway station. After partition of India, many refugees from Punjab in Pakistan chose to Yamunanagar as their new home, and in the process adding to the culture of the town. The area where the refugees had taken shelter later developed into the model town of Yamunanagar. It is now a fast growing industrial town of Haryana. The various places of tourists’ delight are: Adi Badri, Kapal Mochan, Herbal Park (Chuharpur), Herbal Park (Kathgarh) etc.
